Penticton plein air paint out

That was fun.

Met some more fellow plein air painters and managed to crush 5 paintings in two days. I'm pretty happy with the results of the paintings. I also tried something new.

I saw Roos Schuring post in one of her videos that if she needs to do a quick painting for a show and doesn't have time to let the paint dry, paints it in a pre-existing frame and tapes the edges.

I spent a day pre-making a handful of frames, but of course didn't leave myself enough time to finish the frames so I found myself up at 6am cutting, gluing and putting the finishing touches on the frames. Had a scare when one of the boards I was cutting on the tablesaw launched itself at my hand. minor flesh wound, but could have been much worse.

Here's some of the 2 day action. Lot's of painting. I was pretty tired after finishing 5 paintings in 2 days. Was great to meet some more plein air painters and was a fun weekend.
